Mikhail Nesterov’s Monument will be consecrated in Ufa

UFA, 14 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On Wednesday, June 15, the monument to the great Russian painter, academician of painting, the Honoured Artist of the RSFSR, the founder of the Art Museum in Ufa Mikhail Nesterov will be consecrated in Ufa.

The ceremony will be held by the head of Neftekamsk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, Ambrose, the Bishop of Birsk and Neftekamsk. The arrived from Moscow granddaughter of the great artist - MD, Professor Maria Titova will participate in the consecration ceremony. The ceremony starts at 12.00 at the address: Gogol Street, 27.

The bronze monument with height of 3.6 m is installed on the premises of the Bashkir State Art Museum named after M.V. Nesterov. Its project was made by the Honoured Artist RB, the member of the Artists Union of Russia Firdant Nuriahmetov in collaboration with associate professor of Ufa State Academy of Arts, member of Union of Artists of Russia Vladimir Lobanov, based on the sketch by the Honoured Artist of Russia and Bashkortostan Nikolai Kalinushkin. It is a figure of the artist in a full-length with a palette and brushes. The monument was made and established at the expense of the grant of the Head of Bashkortostan.
