Ufa Museum of Soviet Life will reveal secrets of women in space

UFA, 9 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Kamil Khasanov/. On June 16 - the anniversary of the first flight of woman to space: on that day the Soviet citizen Valentina Tereshkova reached the orbit aboard "Vostok-6". Philippe Terekhov – the known Russian space popularizer promises to tell the guests new details of how astronauts conquered the space at Ufa Museum of Soviet Life.
Currently there are a little less than sixty women who have been outside the earth's atmosphere. Among them there are French, English, Italian, Korean women, but the absolute record - 45 astronauts – belongs to the United States. Our compatriots are only four, but each name inscribed in the history. Valentina Tereshkova became not only the first been in space, but also the only one committed a single flight. Svetlana Savitskaya in the early 80's for the first time walked in open space. Elena Kondakova in the 90s became the first woman in the world, who made a long flight (five months). Finally, Elena Serova flew to the ISS recently - in September 2014, and spent six months at the station.
Organizers promise that visitors will learn many interesting facts and get answers to all their questions. In addition, the introduction to a collection of books about the Soviet space program, to the exposition, as well as a warm and friendly atmosphere at the tea table are announced.
The meeting will be held on June 16 at 19 o'clock, the participation fee is 100 rubles. The Soviet Life Museum is located on the second floor of the Ufa Gostiny Dvor.
