New public information access centres will be created in Bashkiria

UFA, 26 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Bashkortostan new public information access centres will be created. On the eve of the All-Russian Day of Libraries, the Ahmed Zaki Validi National Library and the State Committee for Information and the "Open Republic" System signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of a new project in the republic - creation of public information access centres.
The centres will operate at the central libraries of cities and districts of the republic and other educational institutions. In addition, the public information access centres will make available the information resources of the B.N. Yeltsin Presidential Library, the Russian State Library (Moscow), Russian National Electronic Library (NEB) and other Internet services, providing an opportunity to use socially important online resources free of charge.
According to the press service of the library, the signing ceremony took place on May 25, 2016. "The public information access centres will also become intermediaries between the national authorities and municipal levels and the local population,” said the director of the National Library RB Aigul Muratova. “The dialogue of the citizens with the authorities will undoubtedly contribute to their involvement in public life overcoming social apathy and reducing social tensions".
