Faizi Gaskarov’s Dance Ensemble and "Argymak" ethnic group will represent Bashkortostan at World Folkloriad in Mexico

UFA, 16 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The State Academic Ensemble of Folk Dance named after Faizi Gaskarov and "Argymak" ethno-group will take part in the World Folkloriad - 2016 in Mexico. Representatives of different nationalities and cultures will meet in Mexico from July 27 to August 17. Bashkir artists will perform with joint concerts at different venues in the city of Zacatecas and the capital of the state - Mexico. Russia will also be represented by a team from the Perm region.

The hour-long program of the Gaskarov’s Dance Ensemble will feature about 10 Bashkir national dances from the golden fund of the team. Artists from Bashkortostan will take part in the official opening of the World Folkloriad, as well as in numerous concerts in the framework of this large festival of folk art.

Finally the World Folkloriad baton will be handed over to the official delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, which will host the event in 2020. The grand folk festival, which like the Olympic Games is held every four years, will bring together representatives of all kinds of traditional arts from around the world.
