Four finalists of Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition were announced in Ufa

UFA, 13 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Ufa, the names of four finalists of the first Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition were announced by the jury chairman Mikhail Kopelman. The finalists are representatives of four different countries: Leonid Zelezny (Russia), Mai Suzuki (Japan), Agnes Langer (Hungary), Daniel Lozakovich (Sweden).
Vladimir Spivakov said that at the gala-concert the names of two winners of the special prize "Nadezhda" would be announced on May 15. The maestro noted that each of the musicians that failed to reach the final, could stay in the hall and at once discuss his performance with the jury. Four Moscow concertmasters, who helped the contestants, were awarded following the two rounds - Anna Tamarkina, Natalya Igumnova, Zoe Abolits and Sergey Bezrodnyi.
The auditions of the second round took place today in the Chamber Hall of the "Bashkortostan" Concert Hall. They were attended by eight semi-finalists from six countries. The final round with the orchestra under the baton of the maestro Mikhail Geurts from Estonia will be carried out at the Great Hall of "Bashkortostan" on Saturday, May 14. On May 13, the finalists will rehearse the third round program together with the National Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan with soloists of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
