Ufa hosts semi-finals of Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition

UFA, 12 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Today, on May 12, the second round of the First Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition will be held at "Bashkortostan" Concert Hall in Ufa. Contestants will perform a solo program – a sonata by Beethoven or Brahms, a virtuoso piece by a composer of the 19th century, a music piece by a composer of the 20th century (at the option of a participant).

At this moment a live broadcasting of the semifinals starts on the competition website, the website of the Moscow Philharmonic Society and on the Kultura.RF. The results of the semi-finals - the names of the four finalists will be announced today at 21.00.

Eight contestants from Russia, China, Canada, Japan, Hungary and Sweden participate in the second round.
