Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition opened in Ufa

UFA, 10 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Today the First Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition opened in Ufa. 12 young participants from different countries came to participate in the musical contest.

The Culture Minister of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova welcomed them on behalf of the Head of Bashkortostan and the whole four millionth population of our republic. She noted that the competition is organized in the homeland of the outstanding violinist and conductor Vladimir Spivakov, where the International Festival "Vladimir Spivakov Invites" is held and the school for gifted children under his patronage is operating.

At the opening the drawing procedure was carried out for participants. Maria Lundina from Moscow received the right to open the competition. The Ufa resident Anastasia Mamyasheva will perform under number three. Daniel Lozakovich from Sweden will complete the violinists’ performance.

Almost all members of the international jury have arrived in Ufa. It is expected only arrival of maestro Vladimir Spivakov. Today the nation-wide workshops for young violinists begin. On May 10 and 11 they will be held by the soloists of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, on May 13 and 14 – by the members of the jury. The organizer is the Ufa State Institute of Arts.
