World ballet star Farukh Ruzimatov will give a performance in Ufa

One of the greatest masters of modern ballet art with the artists of the St. Petersburg theatres Anna Novoselova, Olga Semenova, Alexander Omar will show an interesting program. The Ufa residents will see the one-act ballet "Othello" to the music by Henry Purcell, fragments from the ballets "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker", "Le Corsaire", "La Bayadere", "Esmeralda", "Scheherazade," "Vain Precaution", " Bolero".

Farukh Ruzimatov is the People's Artist of Russia, laureate of international ballet competitions in Varna, Paris, winner of the "Golden Mask" and "Golden Soffit". He was born in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), graduated from the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A. Vaganova. Since 1981 he dances in the Mariinsky Theatre, since 1986 as a soloist. As a guest soloist he collaborated with the American Ballet Theatre. During his career, he played all the most famous roles in the ballets of the classical repertoire. The gala concert starts at 19.00.
