Yuri Shevchuk will be awarded the Bashkir bard "Oscar" in Ufa

UFA, 16 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Ufa, the legendary musician, leader of the "DDT" band Yuri Shevchuk will be awarded the Republican bard award "Strings of Soul". Five persons are recognized the winners in the nomination "For contribution to the development of art song in the Republic of Bashkortostan". This is Yuri Shevchuk, renowned bards from Ufa Nicholai Grahov, Leo Malyh, historian and ethnographer Sergey Krul and the director of the Institute of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemistry RB Elshad Telyashev.

As a reward, the performers will receive diplomas and gold-plated guitars with Swarovski crystals. Yuri Shevchuk will not be able to attend the ceremony due to his tour in Germany. The award is likely to be received by his sister Natalia or the director of Sterlitamak rock club named after Yuri Shevchuk Vyacheslav Gnusin.

The awarding ceremony will be held on March 19 at the Palace of Youth in the framework of the book presentation by Nail Makhmutov. The book presentation will be followed by an autograph session and a concert with participation of all the bards of the republic and a special guest - the famous kurai player Robert Yuldashev. The admission is free.
