Hollywood plans to film "BashGizhan" novel by boxer Khabir Suleimanov

UFA, 8 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. One of the 10 best boxers of the United States, the world kickboxing champion, Bashkir strong man Khabir Suleymanov plans to film his historic novel "BashGizhan". He came to Ufa to promote his new project and to take part in the 2nd International Festival of National and Ethnic films "Silver Akbuzat" as a special guest.

"I have received a proposal for the adaptation of my novel from a Hollywood company. So I am not just a casual visitor here – I am also related to filmmaking”, said the champion at a press conference dedicated to the film festival in Bashinform News Agency. “The company is called "Solomon Production"; they are ready to invest 45% of the film budget. I applied for a grant of the Head of the Republic in 2016; I hope that we will succeed. This film is very important for our republic because it is dedicated to the national hero - Salavat Yulaev".

Azamat Huzhahmetov, the Director of Bashkortostan Film Studio named the idea of the boxer to make a joint American-Bashkir film as possible "project of the future".
