KLEIO string duo from Finland will perform in Ufa

UFA, 2 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On December 29, a concert of the string duo KLEIO from Finland will take place at the Bashkir State Museum named after M.V. Nesterov. Members of the KLEIO duo are Linnea Hurttia (Finland, violin) and Ivan Podyachev (Russia, viola). The musicians met and began performing together in 2011 in Madrid, where both studied at the Reina Sofia Higher School of Music. Since then, the ensemble successfully performs concerts in Spain, Germany, Estonia and Finland. Linnea and Ivan are winners of international competitions as soloists.

Linnea Hurttia is a graduate of Sibelius Academy (Finland), the Hanover High School of Music (Germany) as the Master of Music, Madrid International Institute of Chamber Music in the class of Ralph Gottoni. She performed as a soloist with many Finnish orchestras, gave recitals in many European countries and the United States. In 2008 Linnea won the first prize at the International Competition Heino Eller in Tallinn, where she was also awarded a special jury prize for best performance of Paganini's Caprices.

Ivan Podyachev is a graduate of Ufa State Academy of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov, Reina Sofia Higher School of Music (Madrid, Spain) and the University of Music Detmold (Germany). He is the owner of two first prizes at international competitions: "Musical Rainbow" (Volgograd, 2005), "The Art of the 21st Century" (Kiev, 2006). As a composer, he became the winner of the International Competition "Hopes, Talents, Masters" (Dobrich, Bulgaria, 2003).

As a soloist he gave concerts in Russia, Germany, Austria, Spain, Finland, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Estonia. In 2011, as part of the «Brahms el Mundo» quintet he was awarded the prize "Best Chamber Ensemble of the Year" from the hands of Queen Sofia of Spain. In 2011-2013, he participated in the famous festival in Verbier (Switzerland) in the orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev. Ivan has an active orchestral career in the Swedish Royal Opera, the National Orchestra of Spain and the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre.
