Ufa will host events of Bashkortostan and Netherlands joint creative project

UFA, 1 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. From December 1 to 6, the International Art Theatre and Music Project "Imagination. Meeting with Van Gogh" will be held in Ufa. The project is realized due to the grant of the Head of the Republic by the House of Friendship of Peoples of Bashkortostan.

The program of the project includes a concert in the Great Hall of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society, a musical staging "The Yellow Sun of Van Gogh" at the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre with participation of musicians of the Dutch band "Hexagon" and actors of the theatre.

The Russian Drama Theatre will show a production about Anne Frank devoted to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Anne Frank Foundation, which develops educational programs and conducts educational activities, will present the traveling exhibition "Anne Frank" in the foyer of the theatre.

Organizers and musicians will visit Ufa State Academy of Arts, where they will meet with students and discuss further cooperation. On December 3, the International Day of People with Disabilities, the republican art boarding school will organize presentations and workshops with participation of the pupils of correctional school No. 13 of Ufa. At the Institute of Education Development RB and the Republican Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No.1 Dutch musicians will share their experience in the organization of music therapy for children with disabilities.

The cultural cooperation between Bashkortostan and the Netherlands has developed as part of the events devoted to the 400th anniversary of cultural relations between Russia and the Netherlands, dedicated to the Year of Russia in the Netherlands in 2013.
