Yandex plans to open a news agency with robots instead of journalists

In November Yandex intends to open its own news agency, where reports will be written not by journalists, but by an automatic algorithm based on monitoring and analysis, RIA Novosti informs with reference to the "Vedomosti" newspaper. According to the project manager "Yandex for Media" Maria Petrova, in the early stages the Agency will prepare information on the situation on the roads and weather, as well as will cover other topics interested to users. In the future, the list will be expanded.

According to the newspaper, the agency materials will be broadcast in real time and in different formats. So, it will be diagrams for TV channels, a special interface with texts for radio stations and feed notifications for news agencies, newspapers, magazines and web sites.

As the project manager marked, the subscription to the news feed will be free for media.
