Famous conductor Alexander Vakulsky arrives in Ufa from Holland

UFA, 30 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On October 26-27, the famous conductor Alexander Vakulsky arrives in Ufa. The Maestro will hold an open rehearsal with the Youth Symphony Orchestra.
"We spoke with the Maestro about six months ago and planned a joint work, it was his idea. We chose the Eighth Symphony by Antonin Dvorak to work with the orchestra. The performance by the results of work is expected to be in November", said the art director and conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra Linar Davletbaev.
Alexander D. Vakulsky was born in 1949 in Iglino region of Bashkortostan. He graduated from the School of Music Students in Ufa (now named after G.Almuhametov), St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov. In the years 1969-75 Vakulsky was a musician of a Symphony Orchestra, at the same time in 1974 a conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of the Leningrad Philharmonic Society.
In 1976 he moved from Russia to Holland, where he became the chief conductor of the National Youth Orchestra and chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Amsterdam and later worked in this position for 23 years. He toured the world with both orchestras. In 2009 he was appointed the honourary life head of the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra.
Since 1998, creative cooperation is established between Alexander Vakulsky and our republic. The National Symphony Orchestra under his baton performed symphonies of Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky.
