Russian Drama Theatre of Bashkortostan won three awards at Volga Theatre Festival

UFA, 28 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The second International Festival "Volga Theatre" completed In Samara. From September 20 to 27, thirteen theatres from 12 regions of the Volga Federal District showed their performances to Samara audience. The Theatre Forum was opened by the last season premiere - the play "Fathers & Sons" by the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre of Bashkortostan. It was well received by the festival audience and the critics.

According to the head of the literary part of the theatre Elena Popova, the Ufa Theatre won three awards. The Best Young Actors of the festival were named Julia Tonenko (Fenichka) and Ruslan Belsky (Bazarov). The Honoured Artist RB Oleg Shumilov was awarded a diploma for Best Supporting Actor (Vasily Ivanovich Bazarov).

Organizers of the Volga Theatre Festival are the Volga Region Cities Association, the Union of theatrical figures of Russia and the Administration of Samara. The purpose of the festival is to establish and develop long-term cultural and creative exchange, develop traditions of Russian theatrical art, to stimulate the creative initiative of theatrical figures.
