Bashkir artist participates in the international art project in Sarajevo
UFA, 26 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Bashkir artist Cornelia Margan participates in the international art-project "Reflections on Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian heritage in Bosnia". The project is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo from August 25. Its participants are artists from Cyprus, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Germany and the UK, will create their works as part of the project. As a result an exhibition will be held.
Cornelia Margan (Nelia Merzabekova) was born in Orenburg, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. She graduated from Ufa State Institute of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov as a musicologist. Currently she lives in Bulgaria and Turkey, and very creatively active. Cornelia Margan works in the genres of landscape, portrait and still life. Her works are stored in the M.V. Nesterov’s Bashkir State Museum, Salavat Yulaev Memorial Museum, Museum in the city of Ahlat (Turkey), a collection of TURKSOY, the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria, private collections in Russia, the USA, Turkey, Europe.
