Bashkir Theatre won a federal grant for Handel's "Hercules" staging

UFA, 18 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre was awarded a federal grant for the creation of Handel's opera "Hercules". The libretto is written by T.Brouton basing on Sophocles’ "Trahinyanki" and on the 9th book of "Metamorphoses" by Ovid. The grant amount is 11 million rubles.

The Production Director of the future performance is the Honoured Artist of Russia Georgy Isahakyan (Moscow). The Art Director is Valentina Ostankovich (Moscow), Musical Director - chief conductor of the theatre Artem Makarov.

As the press service of the Ministry of Culture RB informs, the expert advice considered 98 applications for creative projects, including 29 applications from musical theatres, 55 applications from drama theatres and theatres for children and youth, 14 applications from puppet theatres.
