Bashkirs of Latvia showed their talents on the main stage of Ventspils

UFA, 5 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Bashkirs of Latvia took part in the celebration of the 725th anniversary of Ventspils. The event was supported by the local Association of National Cultural Societies, the Tatar-Bashkir society "Agidel", Baltic International Centre "Salavat Yulaev", association of ethnic projects "Silk Road" and the famous opera singer Elina Mitina.

Ventspils is a modern, well-kept town on the coast of the Baltic Sea, with a convenient and well-developed infrastructure. The municipality combines a port, innovative enterprises and a beautiful beach, which attracts every year more and more tourists from different countries. This year was significant for the city - Ventspils celebrated its 725th birthday with rich and varied cultural program. Both local and invited artists take part in the concert.

Rina Khamitova, the representative of the Committee RB for UNESCO Affairs in Latvia welcomed the guests of the festival on behalf of Bashkortostan. On this day, the opera singer Elina Mitina and dance children's ensemble "Confetti" gave performances on the main stage of Ventspils as representatives of Bashkir diaspora in Latvia.
