Bashkir artist took part in the 18th TURKSOY Plein-Air

UFA, 4 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In the Turkish city of Aksaray, an exhibition of participants of the 18th TURKSOY plein-air took place, which this year brought together artists from 18 countries. Within two weeks, 21 artists from the Turkic countries and regions created more than 100 paintings in various genres and styles. The exhibition aroused great interest among the city residents and the media.
The Bashkir artist Ralif Akhmetshin attended the plein-air along with the painters and graphic artists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Northern Cyprus, Bulgaria, Germany and other countries. Russia was also presented by artists from Khakassia, Sakha-Yakutia, Tatarstan, Chuvashia.
"Annual meetings of artists for 18 years occupy an important place in the TURKSOY calendar of activities. The creative atmosphere of these meetings promotes artistic exchange and enrichment of cultures. Canvases created in joint work replenish the collection of TURKSOY, which is exhibited in many countries around the world presenting the culture of the Turkic peoples", the Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov said.
The two-week Aksaray experience was also a possibility for artists to explore the historic monuments of the Middle Ages - Great Seljuk mosque and minaret, Zindzhiriye madrasa, Agzykarahan caravanserai, protected natural sites - Ihlara, Guzelyurt, Narlygel lake.
