Ufa residents can participate in the "Shorts" Internet Film Festival

UFA, 13 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Ufa residents are invited to participate in the sixth Internet Film Festival "Shorts". The festival is held from June to November in several stages. Results will be announced at the annual awarding ceremony at the «Albany» cinema in Tula on November 7.

Short fiction and documentary films up to 15 minutes can be submitted for participation in the festival. A film can be presented in any language (with subtitles in Russian) or without voice background. For participation an application should be filled in on the festival website.

The applications submission was launched on July 7. During the first weeks of work 13 applications were received at the festival. "Applications were received from Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia. In addition to Moscow and St. Petersburg, there are applications from Rostov-on-Don, Saratov, Kazan, Krasnodar, Tula. And this is only the beginning; works are accepted until October 1", the founder and producer of the festival Michael Kanaev said.

The Independent Internet Film Festival "Shorts" was created as an online project in 2010 to give young directors, cameramen, script writers and actors an opportunity to express themselves, to show their creative projects to a large number of spectators, as well as to increase an interest of the audience in short films in Russia.
