Virtual Centre of A.S. Pushkin Museum opens in Ufa

UFA, 2 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On June 6, a Virtual Centre of the A.S. Pushkin All-Russian Museum will open in Ufa. The solemn ceremony devoted to the birthday of the great Russian poet, will be held in the Memorial House-Museum of Mazhit Gafuri. At the opening of the Virtual Centre the exhibition "Journey of the Poet" will be presented. The ceremony starts at 10.00.

Scientific publications and multimedia resources of the A.S. Pushkin Museum, which is located in St. Petersburg, will be available to visitors of the Virtual Centre.

Members and guests of the opening ceremony of the Virtual Centre will lay flowers to the monument of Alexander Pushkin. There will be a poetic flash mob. Then the event will continue in the House-Museum of Mazhit Gafuri. The tour over the exhibition will be held by the Candidate of Philology, head of the media centre of A.S. Pushkin Museum Irina Rozina.

The exhibition is devoted to the poet's journey, which he made in the autumn of 1833 over places of the Pugachev rebellion. The exhibition includes copies of illustrations to the novel "The Captain's Daughter" and "History of Pugachev" by P.P. Sokolov, A.N.Benois, B.I.Kozhin, S.V. Gerasimov.

Recall that a few years ago in Ufa, a virtual branch of the Russian Museum was opened at the Academy of Arts.
