Nesterov’s Art Museum opens three new exhibitions on the eve of the Night of Museums

UFA, 14 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On the eve of the Night of Museums, which will be held in Ufa on May 16, the Bashkir State Art Museum named after Mikhail Nesterov updates its expositions.
On May 15, in the 7-8th halls of the mansion an exhibition of paintings by a member of the Jerusalem branch of the International Union of Artists, laureate of "Ish Shalom", participant, diploma winner and prizewinner of international and foreign specialized exhibitions and competitions Anatoly Baratynsky (Jerusalem, Israel) will be opened. The exhibition "The Wheel of Time" will last for a month.
In the 9-12th halls of the new building a drawing and painting exhibition of Honoured Artist RB, member of All-Russian, international and foreign exhibitions and competitions, diploma winner of the Russian Academy of Arts Igor Tonkonogy starts. The exhibition "Townspeople" is devoted to the 55th anniversary of the artist.
The 11-12 halls will open their doors for the exhibition "Pesnya" (Song). There will be exhibited drawings, paintings, and felt works by the Honoured Artist RB, winner of the G.Salyam Prize, Honoured Worker of Higher Professional Education of Russia, dean of art-graphic faculty of Bashkir State Pedagogical University, Professor Talgat Masalimov dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the artist.
In the 1-6th halls of the Laptev mansion (the old museum building) there is a permanent exhibition of Russian classical art XV - early XX century. Visitors can get acquainted with icon painting, painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative and applied art from the collection of M.V. Nesterov’s Museum, including works by Mikhail Nesterov (1862-1942) and David Burliuk (1882-1967).
