Rally participants "Bridge of Friendship between Peoples and Cultures" will arrive in Ufa from Leipzig

UFA, 6 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In June, a rally from the Saxon city of Leipzig (Germany) to Leipzig village in the southern Urals in the Chelyabinsk region will take place. The route of the project runs through capital of Bashkortostan - Ufa.

Nine participants of the rally, including representatives of different nationalities (Bashkir, Russian, Ukrainian, German) and occupations (architects, artists, film makers) will arrive in Ufa on June 24th. Stops are also planned in Moscow, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk and other cities. Six participants of the project will fly by plane through Chelyabinsk to the Leipzig village.

The Ufa rally program includes laying flowers to the Salavat Yulaev Monument, meeting with members of the club "Severnye Amury" (Bashkir Cossacks).

In the Leipzig village a foundation of the monument dedicated to the friendship between the peoples will be laid. It will be installed in honour of the Cossacks and all the soldiers of the Patriotic War of 1812, where 22 Bashkir regiments were involved, and five of them participated in the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig in Saxony in October 1813.
