Ballerina from Ufa received the highest award of the national competition "Magic Slipper"

UFA, 28 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Ten-year Ufa dancer Sophia Valiullina became the winner of 5th All-Russian festival-competition of dance schools and dance teams "Magic Slipper". The festival, organized by Ilze Liepa Charitable Foundation "Culture – to Children", was held at the Moscow International House of Music.

Sophia is engaged in Ufa Dance Theatre "Bravo" (teacher - Honoured Artist of Bashkortostan Svetlana Kharisova) and is a scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. The jury, chaired by the famous choreographer, artistic director of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Lavrovsky appreciated the skills and artistry of the young performer. Ufa dancer received a statuette of the festival in the form of "Anna Pavlova’s legs" cast in bronze on the design of Andris Liepa. The member of the jury, the artistic director of the theatre "Kremlin Ballet" Andris Liepa solemnly carried the winner across the stage.

The competition of the best in the country dance schools and dance performances is held annually since 2011. At this year's festival-competition there were 16 participants (including 13 teams and three soloists) from 10 Russian cities: Moscow, Tula, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo, Magnitogorsk, Ufa, Samara, Vyshniy Volochek, Orenburg, Khimki Moscow Region.
