"Ural" Gallery will host an exhibition of Timothy Erastov
UFA, 4 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On March 5, an exhibition of paintings by the artist, the head of the "Tun" club Timothy Erastov will be opened at 16 o'clock in Ufa Gallery "Ural" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of his birth.
Timothy Erastov was born in Manchazy village of Iglino region of Bashkir ASSR.
"As far back as I can remember – I have been painting. The war broke all my plans. The primary art education I received in theatre art college and art school. Further knowledge of art I acquired as self-education", the artist says.
Since 1981, he is a member of the folk club of artists "Tun" at the Republican centre of folk art. More than 30 years he is the permanent chairman of Russia's oldest club of artists. Timothy Erastov is a participant of the All-Union, national, republican exhibitions of folk art.
