Silent films accompanied by tapeurs will be shown in Ufa

UFA, 13 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On February 21, a series of silent films screening accompanied by piano will be started in the "Faktury" hall in Ufa.

The "City Lights" comedy, 1931 with Charlie Chaplin will be shown the first. Viewers will be able to go back to the beginning of the twentieth century and enjoy the atmosphere of the first cinemas. As in those years silent films will be accompanied by performance of live piano music played by tapeurs.

“We choose this film because it is a classic in the highest sense of the word. The tapeur accompanies the screening so the beauty and grandeur of the film can be fully enjoyed with the live music and on the big screen”, the organizers of the project inform.
