Rare books can be donated to Bashkortostan museums

UFA, 3 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On February 14, the International Day of Books Donation will be marked in Ufa. On this day people donate books to relatives, friends and all lovers of literature.

The Ministry of Culture RB announced the campaign "Rare Books - to Museums!", dedicated to the Year of Literature. During the event, citizens of the republic can present rare books to museums of Bashkortostan.

“Books which are antique (published before 1950) and issued in small editions or with autographs, bookplates and marginal notes made by famous people named as rare ones. Such pieces are of cultural value and attract the attention of books lovers”, the ministry spokesman said.

Donators will be able to visit a museum for free. Information about the campaign is available on the museum's webpages on social networks VKontakte and Facebook.
