Ildar Abdrazakov will give his first solo concert in New York

UFA, 29 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On Thursday, January 29, an opera star Ildar Abdrazakov will give his first solo concert at "Carnegie Hall" in New York.
The owner of the magnificent bass carefully selected compositions for the concert program. The singer will perform "Songs and Dances of Death" by Mussorgsky, romances by Glinka and Tchaikovsky, "Sonnets of Petrarch" by Liszt, "Three Songs of Don Quixote to Dulcinea" by Ravel, and three favourite romances by Fauré.
The pianist Mzia Bahturidze will accompany the singer.
Earlier in the USA Ildar Abdrazakov performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Washington National Opera, Los Angeles Opera. In New York, the singer already has his loyal audience. He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera in "Don Giovanni" in 2004. In the season 2008-2009 he starred in a new production of Verdi's "Attila", and in the 2011-2012 season for the first time he performed the roles of King Henry VIII in Donizetti's opera "Anne Boleyn" and Dosifey in "Khovanshchina" by Mussorgsky. In 2012-2013, the singer also performed in "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Don Giovanni" by Mozart on the MET scene, and in 2014 he performed Escamillo in "Carmen" by Bizet and the leading part in "Prince Igor" by Borodin. The "New York Times" named the production "Prince Igor" one of the most significant events of 2014 in the field of classical music.
