National Symphony Orchestra will play under the baton of a woman conductor

UFA, 27 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On January 29, the National Symphony Orchestra RB will present its next program in the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan". The woman conductor, Honoured Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sabriye Bekirova will conduct the concert.
The program dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky will feature the overture-fantasy "Romeo and Juliet" and Symphony №5, as well as the suite from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" by Sergei Prokofiev. The concert starts at 19.00.
Sabriye Bekirova graduated from St. Petersburg Conservatory in violin and opera and symphony conducting. She participated in many prestigious international festivals. She worked with such orchestras as the Saint Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra named after Shostakovich, Symphony Orchestra of Radio of Armenia, Academic Symphony Orchestra of the State Philharmonic Society of Caucasian Mineralnye Vody, Sochi Chamber Orchestra.
She staged the operas "Iolanta" and "Eugene Onegin" by Tchaikovsky, "Manon Lescaut" by Puccini, "Carmen" by Bizet, "Faust" by Gounod, "La Traviata" by Verdi, "The Dawns Are Quiet Here" by Molchanov in the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania. Annually she takes part in the Festival of Arts "Visiting Larissa Gergieva". In 2009, the conductor was awarded the "Golden Mask" prize in the nomination "The Best Conductor".
