Ufa will host an official opening of the Year of Literature in Bashkortostan Republic

UFA, 16 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The official opening of the Year of Literature in Bashkortostan will be held in Ufa on January 30. The City Palace of Culture is selected as a venue for the event.

According to the Ministry of Culture RB, it will be a literary-musical evening with participation of poets, writers and artists.

And the results of the competition in designing the logo for the Year of Literature will be summarized. The Ministry of Culture has received more than 100 applications. The main symbols used in the projects are a book and a pen. At the opening of the Year the winner of the competition will be awarded.

On January 30, the new republican marathon "Literary Mosaic" also starts. Gafury region will be the first to take the baton. The main goal of the marathon is search for new young talents, support their growth and development.

At the December meeting of the Union of Writers of Bashkortostan it was made a lot of proposals for inclusion in the Year of Literature Plan. According to the official website of the Union of Writers, "it is not only holding various festivals, conferences, literary festivals, but also allocating grants to writers under long-term projects. It is provided commemoration of the most worthy representatives of the literature of our republic, it is submitted a petition to the Government of the Russian Federation to grant writers a status of profession".
