Yuri Bashmet will give a performance at the opening of the Concert Hall "Bashkortostan" in Ufa

UFA, 19 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On December 7, in Ufa a long-awaited event will take place - an opening of the Concert Hall "Bashkortostan" featuring famous musician Yuri Bashmet and the Chamber Orchestra "Soloists of Moscow".

Maestro will present the program "Serenades". Viewers will hear the masterpieces of classical music – serenades by Dvorak, Bruch, Mozart, Tchaikovsky. General partner of the concert of "Moscow Soloists" in Ufa is JSC "Bashkomsnabbank".

The Chamber Orchestra "Moscow Soloists" debuted at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory on May 19, 1992. The founder of the Orchestra Yuri Bashmet has invited to it talented young people - students and graduate students of the Moscow Conservatory.

For 20 years of working together musicians from the Orchestra played more than 1,400 concerts in over 50 countries in Europe and Asia, North and Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

The repertoire of the "Moscow Soloists" includes more than 300 masterpieces of world classics and rare sounding pieces from Bach and Mozart to Schnittke and Denisov. The Orchestra constantly performs works by contemporary authors. S.Richter, Mstislav Rostropovich, Natalia Gutman, V. Tretyakov, G.Kremer, M.Vengerov, V.Repin, S.Chang, Sh.Mints, B.Hendriks, James Galway, L.Herrel , M.Brunello, T.Kvasthoff and other famous soloists gave concerts with the Orchestra.

In 2007, in honour of the 15th anniversary "Moscow Soloists" made an unprecedented tour over Russia, giving 42 concerts in 39 cities, and one concert was held on a submarine in Vladivostok, and another one - on ASW cruiser "Peter the Great" in Severomorsk.

Yuri Bashmet has given the viola a new prominence in musical life. He has appeared as soloist with such orchestras as the Berlin Symphony, Berlin Philharmonic, Bayrische Rundfunk, Wiener Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Boston Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, San Francisco Symphony. Yuri Bashmet is the first musician in the last two hundred years, who was allowed to play the viola in the house of the composer Mozart in Salzburg.
