Olga Golodets named collection of the Nesterov’s Bashkir Art Museum one of the most outstanding in Russia

UFA, 31 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Today was the official opening of the new building of the Nesterov’s Bashkir State Art Museum. The opening ceremony of the main art museum of the republic was attended by Deputy Prime Minister RF Olga Golodets, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

The Culture Minister RB Amina Shafikova held for them an excursion over the museum and the large exhibition "Art of the Republic of Bashkortostan".

“Today I am pleased to be with you in Ufa and to participate in such a wonderful celebratory event. I am amazed with the collection which belongs to the museum, to Ufa residents and to Bashkortostan Republic. It is one of the most outstanding collections in Russia,” Olga Golodets said.

Olga Golodets was presented a catalog of works by Mikhail Nesterov issued to his 150th anniversary and a commemorative Nesterov’s medal. Vice-Premier of the Russian Government has written down the first review in the museum book.

The total area of the new building of the Nesterov’s Bashkir State Art Museum is about 4.5 thousand sq m. On the ground floor there is a lobby and two restoration workshops. The first floor of the building will locate the exhibition areas - they will increase from 200 to 500 sq m. On the second and third floors there are storage facilities, the size of which is increased by two and half times. The updated mobile exhibition structures are installed in the halls of the museum. All rooms have LED lighting, ventilation and air conditioning, providing a possibility to set the desired temperature in every room.
