"Ufa. Monument Friendship" pictorial reproduction appeared in Ufa in memory of the artist Alexey Korolevsky
UFA, 21 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. A graffiti in memory of the famous Bashkir graphic artist Alexey Korolevsky will decorate a building in Ufa. A large-scale copy of the graphic creation of the artist under the name "Ufa. Monument of Friendship" has been already depicted on the facade of the building in 44/46, Lenin Street. It was the building where the artist's studio was located at his time.
The graffiti’s author is an artist Oleg Kaibyshev, who painted portraits of Yuri Gagarin on one of the facades of houses in Sipailovo residential district in Ufa.
Alexey Korolevsky (13.09.1941-18.08.2013) – the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan. He lived and worked in Ufa. Graphic artist, the member of the Artists' Union. Korolevsky’s works are kept in the M.V. Nesterov’s Bashkir State Art Museum (Ufa), the National Museum of the Republic of Hungary (Budapest), the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Ufa), and in private collections. His main works are a series of linocuts "Bashkiria, My Land," the linocut "Ufa Kremlin".
