Conductor Valery Platonov presents «Pink Floyd» music in Ufa

UFA, 15 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On September 26 an unusual concert will be held at the Concert Hall of the Ufa College of Art.

The program named «Rock-Symphony» will be performed by Symphony Orchestra of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre conducted by Valery Platonov. The art director of the theatre, the Honoured Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Bashkortostan, winner of the National Theatre Award "Golden Mask" for the first time will stand at the conductor's podium after returning to his native Ufa in July this year. Recall that Valery Platonov was the chief conductor of the Bashkir Theatre, mastermind and organizer of many interesting projects in 1991 - 2001.

The «Rock-Symphony» program will present a double premiere. Ufa townspeople will be the first to hear the songs of the cult band joined into one integral work - «Pink Floyd - Suite". Interludes between songs were composed by the young composer Andrey Platonov.

For the first time in Ufa Symphonic Metamorphoses by Yekaterinburg composer Valentine Barykin based on the popular rock opera about love and betrayal "Jesus Christ - Superstar" by Andrew Lloyd Webber will be performed in the second part of the concert.

On October 3, the «Rock-Symphony» will be performed in the Oktyabrsky College of Music. The concerts start at 19.00.
