Well-known Moscow cellist Vladimir Tonkha will perform in Ufa

UFA, 2 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva. On September 30, in Ufa Vladimir Tonkha, the well-known Moscow cello virtuoso, People's Artist of Russia will give a performance at the Concert Chaliapin Hall.

The musician presents solo programs, collaborates with symphony orchestras, plays in chamber ensembles, including the Moscow Cello Quartet created by him. Tonkha successfully toured in England, Italy, Switzerland, France, Holland, Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the USA, Japan, Canada, with the greatest musicians of our time - Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Valery Gergiev, Eric Klassen, Yuri Bashmet, Gidon Kremer, Irina Arkhipova.

Tonkha is a participant of the world's major cultural events, founder and artistic director of several international festivals in Moscow, Voronezh and Kazan.

Being the head of the cello, bass and harp department at Russian Gnessins' Academy of Music, Vladimir Tonkha trained many winners of international and national competitions. Students of the Professor successfully work in Russia and the CIS and in foreign countries.

According to the organizers of the concert, in Ufa his student will perform with the maestro, winner of international competitions, master of Russian Academy of Music, a native of Ufa Leila Mukhamedina. The pianoforte part will be performed by the laureate of international competitions, pianist Elena Muhhamedina.

The program will include works by Vivaldi, Bach, Vitali, de Falla, Dvorak and Minsky. The concert starts at 19.00.
