Berlin filmmaker is coming at the "Festival of Science 2014" in Ufa

As part of the "Festival of Science 2014" on September 10, Ufa will be visited by the director and producer from Berlin Ekaterina Eremenko - the winner of the 34th Moscow International Film Festival, the "Lavr" National Award, "St. Anna" Festival and Leipzig International Festival. The visit will take place at the initiative of the organizers of the scientific forum of the Academy of Sciences RB, "Science Support and Development Fund" and "Kinomak" studio.

The filmmaker will bring her "Sensual Math" film to Ufa, which earned the sympathy of viewers at the Moscow International Film Festival in 2012 and was translated into 10 languages. The film features outstanding mathematicians and our contemporaries, including Maxim Kontsevich (one of the most influential mathematicians of the world) and Cedric Villani - the Fields Medal winner (the most prestigious award in mathematics, awarded every four years). Issues which the world famous scientists decide are explained to the viewers through the senses: taste, sight, smell, touch, hearing and sense of balance.

On September 10, at 15.00 a master-class of the director "The Documentary - from Conception to Implementation. Experience in Europe and Russia" will be held. At 19:00 screening of the film will take place, after which the audience will be able to ask questions to the director.

Ekaterina Eremenko is a producer, director and screenwriter. The founder of the company «EEFilms» («Ekaterina Eremenko Films»), based in Berlin, where she lives and works. Ekaterina is the author of several documentaries nominated for the National Award for Documentary Film and Television "Lavrovaya Vetv", a participant and winner of many film festivals.
