Bashkiria is preparing for International Aksakov’s Festival

From September 19 to 21, Bashkortostan will host the XXIV International Aksakov’s Festival. The organizers are the Ministry of Culture RB with the International Aksakov’s Fund and the Ministry of Education RB.

The main celebrations are scheduled for September 19 in Ufa – the opening of the exhibition in the Memorial house-museum of Sergei Aksakov, laying flowers at the monument to the writer in Pushkin Avenue and S.T.Aksakov’s Garden. Also on this day the Aksakov’s Ball will be held and Aksakov’s gala night, where the awarding ceremony of the International Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and the Ufa City Council will be held.

On September 20, the festival will move to Belebey region where the Aksakov’s event "Bells of Hope" will be held. On September 21 Aksakov’s folklore festivals will take place in Ufa and Karmaskaly regions.
