Pilot from Ufa died in a crash at aviation festival in Perm Territory

On August 2, at 18.35 one-seat plane "Wieman" crashed in the Chastinsky district of Perm Territory one kilometre north-east of Nizhnee Gorodische village. A 52-year-old pilot from Ufa Anatoly Danil'chenko was killed in the plane crash. He was a member of the ultralight aviation festival "Svobodnoe Nebo" (Free Sky).
According to "Komsomolskaya Pravda - Kemerovo", the pilot from Ufa previously served as a military instructor pilot. Last year, he participated in the "Svobodnoe Nebo" festival at Pervushino airport near Ufa.
The plane was new, flying time did not exceed 10 percent. There were no casualties or damage on the ground. At the site of the crash employees of Investigative Department are working, circumstances of the accident are being established. Preliminary versions of the crash are: equipment failure or pilot error.
The "Svobodnoe Nebo" festival (of light aircraft and homemade flying machines) is held annually in the Perm Territory. This year it takes place at the airfields of Nizhnee Gorodische and Bolshaya Sosnova on August 2-3. Traditionally a lot of people come to see a spectacular show on the private airfields.
