Bashkortostan representatives participated in the XI TURKSOY Photographers' Gathering

In the Turkish city of Isparta the XI Photographers' Gathering of TURKSOY was held, organized jointly with Suleiman Demirel University.
According to the press service of TURKSOY, the event was first held on a grand scale. 30 photographers from 20 countries and regions of Eurasia: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bashkortostan, Khakassia, Tatarstan, Sakha (Yakutia), Kabardino-Balkaria, Tuva and Gagauzia (Moldova), Albania, Iraq, Belarus, Austria and Italy participated in the event.
Bashkortostan was represented by photographers Aibulat Akbutin and Elena Boldyreva.
The Gathering was named "The Land of Lakes and Roses". Especially for the participants photo tours were organized to roses plantations and factories on their processing, the ruins of ancient cities, famous lakes, including Gelzhyuk crater freshwater lake, as well as museums of Isparta province. Photographers also visited the university where they had excursions over the university library, faculties, workshops of folk arts, in particular, traditional carpet weaving and wood carving workshops.
Following the meeting, the final declaration of TURKSOY Photographers' Gathering was made. According to this document, members of the commission were defined, which will begin preliminary work in their countries and regions.
The participants also agreed to support the creation of unions or associations of photographers in their countries and regions to establish a regular exchange of information. For this purpose in the first days of the meeting a special Internet group "Union of Photographers of Eurasia" was established.
As part of the II Darvoz International Scientific Congress the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition on the results of the XI International Photographers' Gathering of TURKSOY was held.
At present, the issue of holding the next XII International Photographers' Gathering in Tirana - the capital of the Republic of Albania is under consideration.
