14 contestants from Bashkortostan will take part in "Ural mono" Festival

International contest-festival of musical creativity of Turkic Youth "Ural mono" held the first qualifying round for the participants from Bashkortostan Republic. Applications for participation were submitted by 43 participants from 17 municipalities and urban districts of the republic, as well as from the Orenburg Region and Turkmenistan.

The jury selection committee consisted from composer Ural Idelbaev, senior lecturer, associate professor of pop and jazz performance and sound design department of the Bashkir State Academy of Arts Svetlana Slyaguzova, director of music channel "Kurai-TV" Aigul Akhmadeeva, festival director Ilshat Fahertdinov, leading specialists of the Republican Centre of Folk Art. According to the results of competitive selections 14 candidates were qualified for the second round of the festival.

17th Music Festival of Turkic Youth "Ural mono 2014" will be held in Ufa from May 28 to 30. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture RB, State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company "Bashkortostan" and the Centre of Folk Art.
