New art exhibition is opened in the gallery of Bashkir Drama Theatre

A new exhibition of paintings dedicated to the Year of Culture is opened at the Mazhit Gafuri’s Bashkir Drama Theatre. Artistic director of the theatre Oleg Khanov is convinced that the art gallery atmosphere plays an important role in the perception of philosophy of performances by the audience.
The exhibition presents works of Russian artists Natalia Syuzeva, Filaret Shagabutdinov, Igor Karlov, the press service of the theatre informs .
Natalia Syuzeva is a painter and poster artist from Penza, a member of the Union of Artists. In her paintings she applies techniques of old masters, classical stepwise Italian painting. Almost all the characters of her works are children and women.
Also among the authors of paintings is a graphic artist and painter, Filaret Shagabutdinov from Aurgazinsky region of our republic. He represents a new generation of artists. Bright vivid colours, geometric shapes are used in his pieces.
The third artist, presented in the art gallery of the theatre is Ufa native Igor Karlov. He works in the genres such as painting, drawing, mural painting. The artist belongs to the generation of the 70s. Igor Karlov is fond of culture and traditions of India and uses in his works elements of Vedic symbolism.
“The art gallery in the theatre is a return to the old traditions, when real theatregoers combined visits to a "temple of culture" with viewing paintings in art galleries”, the chief artist of the theatre Albert Nesterov said.
