Winners of the "Dusha narodnaya 2014" Festival are determined in Ufa

Results of the All-Russian Festival of Visually Impaired "Dusha narodnaya 2014" which was held in Ufa from February 28 to March 2 are announced. The festival is conducted every two years in different regions of Russia. The first festival was held in Kazan. 150 people from 17 regions arrived in the Bashkir capital to participate in the competition: Moscow, Vladimir, Saratov, Krasnodar, Astrakhan, Ulyanovsk, Perm, Saransk, Samara, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Republic of Tatarstan. All participants are winners of the qualifying rounds.
The Grand Prix was awarded to Edward Nekhaev from the Kursk region. In the nomination "Soloists" the first prize was received by Galina Loginova from Krasnodar Territory and Ilshat Timkin from the Republic of Tatarstan. The instrumental duet from the Saratov region "Sgovor" was the winner in the nomination "Small Ensembles" (duets and trios). The "Simbirtsita" ensemble from the Ulyanovsk region was the best among ensembles.
People with disabilities feel a strong need to express their thoughts and feelings through music. For many visually impaired people "Dusha narodnaya" Festival is a platform for their development, growth and vital necessity.
Organization of the festival in the Bashkir capital was marked by representatives of the All-Russian Society for the Blind from Moscow, the Republican Art Centre for Disabled People informs.
