Ufa residents will be able to confess their love using glowing hearts

On February 14, St. Valentine's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. The history of the celebration started in the year of 269, during the reign of Emperor Claudius II. Legionnaires of the Rome army were forbidden to marry then. Christian priest Valentine not fearing the wrath of the Emperor secretly began to marry legionaries with their lovers. The Valentine's Day was declared a Catholic feast in 496.
In recent years, the holiday became popular in Russia. On the Valentine's Day people arrange weddings, get married, present gifts to their loved ones and confess their love.
In Ufa, symbols of love will help to keep a romantic mood on this day. According to the city administration, glowing hearts will appear at the ice rink in Kashkadan Park on Valentine's Day. Here everyone will be able to confess his feelings. On February 14, February 23 and March 8 free romantic photo shooting near the art facilities will be held. The same glowing hearts will be open at the skating rinks of Moscow, Samara, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. Photos of lovers from eight Russian cities will make a big "Heart of Russia".
Republican theatres also dedicate their performances to this date. A theatrical evening with dances and music by virtuoso orchestra will be held at the Mazhit Gafuri’s Bashkir State Drama Theatre. The celebrations will be continued by a play "Bakhet - khaky" ("The price of happiness").
The troupe of the Mustai Karim’s Russian National Youth Theatre RB will show a staging about love on the play by Michael Roshchin "Valentin and Valentina".
