Catholic Christmas was celebrated according with Polish traditions in Ufa
In Ufa the celebration of Christmas according with Polish traditions took place. Two parties were held for children and adults, the chairman of the Centre of Polish Culture and Education "Revival" Marina Sadykova says.
The children's party was held in the form of a concert of pupils of the Penkevich’s National Polish Sunday School and lyceum No. 21 of Kirovsky district of Ufa, where creative achievements of children were demonstrated. There were Polish Christmas and New Year’s poems, wishes, songs, carols. Dances were performed and sketches were shown there.
The "Pillsbury Dough-Boy" tale in the Polish language performed by the pupils of the junior group was particularly enjoyed by participants. Attention of pupils and guests of the party was attracted by exhibition of Polish arts and crafts "Christmas Fun" which children made at classes. It included Christmas cards, angels, stars.
The holiday was finished by coming of St. Nicolaus and gifts giving.
