"Jazz Island" concert to be held at Bashkir State Philharmonic Society

Annual concert of the "Jazz Island" project will be held in the Great Hall of the H.Ahmetov’s Bashkir State Philharmonic Society on December 6.

Jazz musicians of different generations will play on the stage: Irina Austin and Azamat Khasanshin, Leiya Litvinova, Jalil Muhametshin and Rustem Karimov, Alina Kruglikova, Arthur Gimaev, Alexander Subbotin, Sergei Kosyh, as well as jazz singers Alina Guzairova, Maria Marchenko, Katherine Yamshikova, Nelia Yumadilova, and instrumentalists Roman Kiselev (bass), George Rakhmatulin (bass guitar), Azat Gaifullin (saxophone), Eric Mufazalov (keyboard instrument) .

Ufa jazz bands will give performance on the stage of Philharmonic Society - «Happy People» (leader Azat Gaifullin), «Crime Time» (leader George Rakhmatuulin), «JazzMania» and Katherine Yamshikova, «Academic Jazz» (leader Azamat Khasanshin) «Biscuit Band Junior» of Elvira Sagidullina, big band of the Almuhametov’s Republican boarding school and Light Music Orchestra of Academy of Arts (conductors - Azamat Khasanshin and Arthur Gimaev).

The concert program includes classic compositions and modern jazz, funk & fusion, musica popular brasileira, acid-jazz. Special guests are Oleg Kireyev and Eugene Grechishin (Moscow). The beginning is at 19 o'clock, local time.
