National Symphonic Orchestra RB will accompany Dmitry Hvorostovsky
The National Symphonic Orchestra of Bashkortostan Republic and Combined Orchestra of the Orenburg Philharmonic Society will accompany Dmitry Hvorostovsky - one of the best baritones of the present on October 10. The concert will take place in "Orenburzhye" sports and recreation centre and will be devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Orenburg Philharmonic Society, the official website of the establishment informs.
The program «To Fatherland — With Love» includes opera arias and songs of military years, among which there are popular and favourite compositions Aleko’s Cavatina, Couplets of Toreador, «Temnaya Noch», "Zhuravli", "Katyusha".
World-wide known baritone Dmitry Hvorostovsky was born and studied in Krasnoyarsk. The victory in 1989 in the most prestigious competition «Cardiff Singer of the World» (Cardiff, Wales) became the beginning of his brilliant career as the opera singer. In 1995 Hvorostovsky was awarded the high rank «People's Artist of Russia», in 2012 — was given the Opera News Award for his contribution to development of opera art.
