Bashkortostan prepares for presentation at UNESCO headquarters in Paris

On October 1, 2, a whole series of events as part of Bashkortostan Republic’s presentation will take place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. As the Committee on UNESCO Affairs in RB informs, the presentation will be named «Bashkortostan –Pearl of Russia», and will be devoted to the 15th anniversary of Bashkortostan cooperation with UNESCO.

Expositions, which will acquaint visitors with unique cultural memorials of Bashkir people, and also with the «Bashkir Ural» UNESCO biosphere reserve will be presented there. Among them there is an object of natural and cultural heritage «Ural-Batyr’s Land» including a unique monument of paleolith epoch Shulgan-Tash Cave (Kapova Cave), which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List Nominations.

The joint communique «On Bashkortostan Republic (the Russian Federation) presentation results in UNESCO» to be signed after the presentation.

Besides events to be held at UNESCO headquarters, the schedule of Bashkortostan official delegation visit includes a presentation of investment and scientific potential of our republic for French and foreign business community at the Embassy of Russia in France.

A concert of masters of the arts of Bashkortostan devoted to the 140th anniversary from the date of Feodor Chaliapin’s birth and the 75th anniversary of Rudolf Nureev’s birth both started their careers in Ufa, will be shown at Rossotrudnichestvo’s headquarters in France.
