Arts and crafts fair to be held in Ufa

On August 23, arts and crafts fair will be conducted in Ufa organised by administration of the Soviet district of Ufa and Charitable Assistance Fund for preservation and development of traditional arts and crafts "Miras".

The fair will be held from 10 till 17 o'clock in the square in front of Youth Palace. The purposes of the forum are to popularise traditional and modern national art crafts, to assist the souvenir market development, to promote business contacts and attract people to creativity of masters of Ufa and Bashkortostan.

“Visitors of exhibitions will be able to see work pieces of masters, who make handicrafts using traditional techniques and designer's inventions,” Ilshat Imangulov, one of organizers says. “Our masters will present modern design clothes, headwear, fashionable accessories, interior design objects, and also products from felt, wood, stone, and designer's dolls.”

Visitors of the fair also will be able to taste and buy natural Bashkir honey. Masters-craftsmen will conduct various master classes, including aqua-make-up and henna body painting.
