It is offered to name one of Ufa public gardens in honour of Rudolf Nureev

It is offered to name the Ufa public garden along Pushkin Street, between Lenin and Karl Marx Streets, in honour of Rudolf Nureev. Representatives of artistic intelligentsia of the republican capital put forward such initiative. The parkway along the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre is familiar to many Ufa residents; this is one of favourite resting places of townspeople. Earlier it was called Pushkin Parkway. Since 1949 there was A.S.Pushkin’s bust which is now moved to another place. Today a bas-relief to the world famous dancer Rudolf Nureev is established on the theatre facade, opened on March, 17, 1998.

During this year the public garden will be repaired, accomplished, decorated with lanterns and stylised benches.

Ufa townspeople can take part in voting for the offered initiative on the website of the city administration.
