Nureev Festival is opened by young dancers in Ufa

In Ufa the XIX International Festival of Ballet Art by the name of Rudolf Nureev was opened by traditional laying of flowers to the bas-relief of the dancer on the facade of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre. Also on the threshold of the main event two exhibitions were opened: organizers made an exposition from works of Ufa artists devoted to Rudolf Nureev in the "Hermitage" hall. In the Greek hall a photo-exhibition about ballet by Ufa photographer Oleg Menkov and choreographer Rinat Abushahmanov was presented.

The first festival evening featured the pupils of choreographic college. Young dancers made a performance together with stars of the Ufa ballet.

The Ballet Art Festival will proceed within a week; actors of leading theatres of Russia, Germany, China, dancing groups from Italy, winners of prestigious ballet competitions will take part in it.
